Common questions

How do I get all the transcripts from a YouTube channel?

Paste the channel link above to list its uploads and open any of them. To export many at once, the API's POST /v1/transcripts takes a channel link and returns up to 50 transcripts per request.

Can I search a channel's videos?

Yes, with the API: GET /v1/search?q=…&channel=@handle searches only that channel. It's free and doesn't use credits.

Is it free?

Listing a channel and opening a few transcripts a day is free with no account. A free API key adds 100 transcripts for bulk use.

Which videos are included?

The channel's public uploads, newest first. Private and members-only videos can't be read.

Can I use this for research or AI training data?

The transcripts come back as plain text or JSON with timestamps, ready for analysis or a RAG pipeline. Check the creator's rights for your use.
