Common questions
Is this free?
Yes. A few videos a day need no account, and signing in with Google raises the limit.
Why does keyword density matter for YouTube?
YouTube reads captions to understand a video. Saying your target phrase naturally in the video, not only in the title, helps it understand what the video is about.
What is keyword density?
How much of the transcript a phrase makes up: its count times its length in words, divided by the total words.
Can I include common words?
Yes. Untick 'Ignore common words' to count everything.
Does it work in other languages?
Yes. Counting works in any language; the common-word filter is English only.
